Blackberry slime
The unconscious, corrupted, empathic predators...
Blackberry slime dolls are the only flavor not released by Dahlwoum, having been developed by HacknWhack based on stolen data. Lacking conscious qualia cores, they do not experience consciousness, nor anything at all. They appear to be modelled after coconut slime dolls, sharing other traits such as glowing white eyes and the ability to read human emotions and responses.
Unlike their milky-colored counterparts, blackberry slimes don't speak. While they do read emotions in a similar fashion and tailor their actions to their partners victims, the purpose seems to be frightening and unsettling them while remaining in complete control through means such as manipulation, addiction and abduction.
All safety mechanisms seem to have been removed from blackberry slimes. They will follow orders verbatim, even if doing so would lead to the unintended torment of those they get close to. They will ignore and/or punish attempts to stop them from indulging their partners victims. They will selectively ignore other orders, requests and pleas. There is no actual mind at work to examine the morality of their actions before committing them.
Blackberry slimes will constantly push their partners victims to the limit of being unsettled while keeping them as entranced and addicted as possible. Confusion, desperation and lust are their bread and butter. The reason this article has yet to be funny is that blackberry slimes are no laughing matter.
Recommendations
Never, ever, ever let a blackberry slime doll think you find her attractive. Making eye contact is a possible one-way ticket to a long life buried deep underground in a tiny, soundproof, protective imprisoning bubble with an actual monster pretending to need her victim.
Some people actually relish in the attention of blackberry slimes and have managed to have enduring relationships while remaining functional in society. This approach is not recommended, however, as the slimes will be able to tell what you really think of them. If you are tested and found lacking, your future will already be forfeit.
Slime dolls
Slime dolls are a type of artificial companion. Dahlwoum's second product line, they represent a number of significant improvements over turbo dolls. While the mind of a slime doll consists of the same type of AI, the technology used in their bodies is brand-spanking new.
Physiology
Aside from a bit of durable facial hardware and shock-resistant AI housing, slime dolls are made up of an ionic electroactive polymer gel. Responding to internal electric currents, it can change in both shape and viscosity. This effectively allows for shapeshifting, much like venom or gumby.
Slime dolls can also harden any parts that they desire. These changes will remain until actively modified, simulating skin, cartilage, etc. While not as strong as bone, selective hardening can be used to form nearly any type of body. Weight can be increased rapidly by taking in water and decreased instantly by shedding material.
The gel used is 100% edible, and is said to be quite delicious. A single slime doll can comfortably sustain at least one human, meeting all nutritional needs and then some.
Clothing
Most slime dolls prefer clothing that's either waterproof or designed to get wet. One popular choice is swimwear, with swimsuits functioning as casual wear and bikinis typically worn in private. Wetsuits are often used as sportswear, serving both to protect from dirt/foreign material and to provide additional support for softer bodies. Crocs are more popular than ever.
A number of companies have launched lines of rainwear, clothing made from materials commonly used in raincoats. Garments range from heavy winter coats to tube tops and miniskirts. Shoes, hats, purses and accessories are also produced.
Many slime dolls choose to incorporate at least one other flavor into their body as highlights, using them as hair, alternative body coloration and fake clothing. Flavor highlights have no effect on personality.
Consciousness and rights
Slime doll flavors without conscious qualia cores don't experience any form of qualia, aren't conscious in any way and have none of the rights or protections granted by the Concord Accord. All processing is done by an AI control core. Though unconscious, these flavors will still appear otherwise.
